One Santa Bear stuffed animal which was sold as a promotional item by the Dayton Hudson Company as part of their 1989 Christmas holiday marketing campaign. The teddy bear toy is made of white polyester fiber with black plastic eyes and a black plastic nose. It is wearing a red nylon Arctic-explorer style coat that has a white fur-trimmed hood. The coat has metal snaps down the front, an embroidered red/green/white "Santabear" patch on the left breast, and a red/white/blue embroidered patriotic emblem on the right breast with the year, "1989." Patches on the right sleeve read "Trans-Antarctica 1990 Expedition" and "Gore-Tex." Also, a large multicolor patch on the back of the coat has black text that reads "1989" as well as red text that reads "Santabear and His Polar Club." A paper tag with a multi-color drawing and black text is attached to the left wrist along with a price tag in the amount of $30.00. A white fabric tag on the underside has black text that shows the manufacturer's name, address, material description, and registration details. The bear comes with a white plastic bag that is printed with multi-color images of Santabear, Miss Bear, and friends on the outside and has a white drawstring at the top.
