Receipt

D.M. Ferry and Company receipt from a box of seeds, plus packages of late cabbage, kale, and kohlrabi seeds, totaling $43.20, sold to Mr. C. Schaaf of Augusta, Missouri on December 16, 1876. "On sale," is noted in a field marked "terms," and "Less comm[ission]," has been noted beneath the list of goods. The receipt is printed with a company header that includes an engraving of a woman in Native American costume standing with her hand on her chest above a woman who is kneeling while gathering grains with a sickle.
