Detroit, Michigan - The City of the Straits
One limited edition print entitled "Detroit, Michigan - The City of the Straits." The print, number "291/1500," shows a color drawing of the Detroit skyline and waterfront c.1950. The SS Columbia of the Bob-Lo Company can be seen underway on the Detroit River in the foreground. The SS City of Detroit III can be seen at the dock in the left background and the SS Put-In-Bay can be seen at the dock to the right. Downtown buildings such as Hudson's, the Penobscot Building, and Guardian Building can be seen in the far background. The print was produced for the "Michigan Sesquicentennial, 1837-1987," as indicated by the emblem in the lower left corner of the sheet. The artist, "William Moss," has signed the print in pencil near the lower right corner of the drawing.
