Print of an engraving of a view of Griswold Street, northwest from Fort Street. Mechanics' Hall and Capitol High School are both indicated on the bottom borders of both copies. A portion of the rear of City Hall is also visible on the right edge of the image. Pedestrians, a horse-drawn streetcar, and carriages are in the street. The larger version retains all the engraving lines, has a wedge-shaped piece of the illustration missing at the lower right, and has the signature of [James H.] Richardson, NY. printed at the bottom left The smaller version is smoothly shaded, lacks several pedestrians, and has extra details such as "Morrows" printed on the awning of the building to the left of Capitol High.
