The larger version retains all the engraving lines, has a wedge-shaped piece of the illustration missing at the lower right, and has the signature of [James H.] Richardson, NY. printed at the bottom left The smaller version is smoothly shaded, lacks several pedestrians, and has extra details such as "Morrows" printed on the awning of the building to the left of Capitol High.
