Rectangular drawings around the border highlight major inventions, discoveries, and events such as the completions of the Soo Locks and the Welland Canal. Several of the drawings feature pictures of Oglebay Norton bulk carrier vessels, self-unloading vessels, and dock operations. The artist's name, "S. Greco," is shown in the lower right corner.
