Courage, Comrades, I'm Coming

World War I poster with the message: "Courage, Comrades, I'm Coming", the poster shows a sepia-toned sketch of a French soldier and a British soldier in the foreground with an American soldier running forward in the background. An image of the Statue of Liberty can be seen in the far background. Small printed text beneath the sketch shows "Drawn by the French Artist, Jonas [Lucien Hector Jonas]" and "Courtesy of the Chicago Tribune." Printed text along the bottom of the poster encourages the Allied forces to hold the lines against the German forces and assures them that American forces will soon be coming to join them. The poster was "Issued by the Connecticut State Council of Defense" and was "Printed by Watercolor Co., New York."
