World War II poster with the messages, "Is Your Trip Necessary?" and "Needless Travel Interferes with the War Effort." The poster shows a yellowed black and white photographic image of crowd of people who are seated in a passenger railroad car. Several servicemen in uniform can be seen in the crowd. Small printed text along the bottom of the poster shows "Office of Defense Transportation" and "OWI Poster No. 74. Additional copies can be obtained upon request form the Division of Public Inquiries, Office of War Information, Washington, D.C. U.S. Government Printing Office: 1943-O-533555." The poster is mounted in a black wood frame with a white matte and glass.
