This 290 foot vessel is primarily a Gret Lakes ice breaker clearing the way for oil tankers and freighters. It is also used for search and rescue and law enforcement. Built exclusively for the Great Lakes, at 74'4" wide, it is too wide for the St. Lawrence Seaway.
