Spanish War Relic at Belle Isle, Detroit, Mich.
Black and white postcard depicting an anchor and cannon on Belle Isle. A sign over the cannon reads "Cast at Sevilla, Spain, May 29th, 1779; Weight, about 7000 Lbs.; Captured in the harbor defenses of Santiago, Cuba, by United States forces; July 14th, 1898." It has a handwritten message on verso, and is postmarked Jun 2, 1908.
