The Sanders Menu, Vol. 1, No. 7

Half-folded Sanders menu dated Friday, July 14, 1944. Articles and advertisements are printed on the front and back cover concerning the efforts on the home front, the Sanders-sponsored WWJ program "Make Mine Music," paper conservation, the Detroit Newsboys Band, blood donations, sending candy through the mail, and efforts to maintain quality in the face of rationing. A three-panel comic strip on the back cover shows two women who spend the day working at a war bonds booth, buy Sanders ready-cooked meals, then receive compliments from their husbands on their efforts making dinner. Breakfast, luncheon, supper, and dessert items are listed within. A card offering "Chicken Pie in Casserole, Roll 45¢," is stapled near the upper right corner of the interior.
