USPS Dip Short Tables
One United States Power Squadrons training manual entitled "USPS Dip Short Tables" that was used for their Junior Navigation Course in celestial navigation. The 5-page manual, dated 1970, is printed in black text on white paper and provides instructions for using the tables. Also included are three blank forms for "Line of Position," "Position Plotting Sheet," and "Traverse," a list of instructor and student names for the course, a foldout "Time Zone Chart," and a "Method of Solution" instruction page.
In addition, there are 6 pages of handwritten notes and 9 pages of sextant sight reduction forms that were compiled by course student, Reinhold C. Zeidler, who completed the course in 1972.
