Director Detroit Historical Museum Robert Hopkin Exhibit Open House Invitation Letters

Stapled packet of seventeen copies of a typewritten letter written by Henry D. Brown, Director of the Detroit Historical Museum on February 7, 1955, each addressed to different recipient. The recipients have loaned objects to be displayed in the exhibit "An Artist Views Detroit--Robert Hopkin." The letters invite the recipients to attend a special open house of the exhibit.

Leete, Mr. Arch Wigle, Mr. W. C. Rohrkemper, Secretary of Harmonie Society at The Harmonie Club, Mr. C. E. Frazer Clark, Mr. Allen B. Crow.

The letters read:

"The Detroit Historical Museum plans to hold a special open house for those who have assisted in making possible the very successful and meaningful exhibit, An Artist Views Detroit - Robert Hopkin.

It is planned to have the open house on the evening of Monday, February 28, 1955, at 8:00 p.m. As the building will be available for the exclusive use of guests on this occasion.

There will be a brief program, the Curator and Preparator who assembled and presented the exhibit will review the research and techniques used. Several individuals who knew Mr. Hopkin well, will comment on his life and work.
