Kit, Press

Press kit for the American Automobile Centennial, a campaign run by the non-profit organization the American Automobile Centennial Commission, and sponsored by the Chrysler Corporation, the Ford Motor Company, the General Motors Company, and the UAW, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the American automotive industry marked by the Duryea Motor Car Company's manufacture, advertising, and sale of 13 cars in 1896. The kit contains twenty three documents housed within a white folder bearing the campaign's logo on the front, and held by a paper band decorated with black and white images relating to the automobile. The documents range from a list of programs and events planned by cooperating organizations as part of the celebration, to data sheet about the 1896 Duryea from Henry Ford Museum, to a list of cars featured prominently on television shows.
