16mm color workprint with synchronized magnetic audio from the Sue Marx production, "This Is My Home, This Is Detroit," containing footage of the Rich family of Rosedale Park, and Detroit Police Department community volunteer Susan Hatfield going door-to-door along Rutherford Street, and of children singing and playing. The clapboards are dated October 25, 1985, however the rolls are labeled October 28, 1985.

In the first section Peter Rich and his middle daughter walk from the driveway of their home at 14802 Faust Street, and down the sidewalk passing other neighborhood children. In additional shots they are joined by his wife Carol Rich, who carrying the youngest daughter while the oldest daughter rides a Big Wheel tricycle.

In the second section, Detroit Police Department community volunteer Susan Hatfield goes door-to-door along the east side of Rutherford Street between Margareta Avenue and Pickford Avenue speaking to residents and handling out pamphlets asking people to keep their lights on for Devil's Night

The third segment is footage of children singing the theme song "Detroit, My Home" on the sidewalk of a residential street.

The fourth segment again features the Rich family. From their porch at 14802 Faust Avenue, they are Interviewed about moving from Royal Oak to the city. They discuss the benefits including diverse neighbors, and affordable housing. They also discuss their block organization, Rosedale Park, activities in neighboring communities, and their feelings about Detroit.

The final segment is footage of the children of Faust Street playing. Two girls play pat-a-cake, while a group of boys play with Tonka Trucks, and the Masters of the Universe action figures Buzz-Off and He-Man.
