Envelope from Richardson Pan-American Highway Expedition
Envelope addressed to Mrs. I. J. Van Hee of 3730 Whitney Avenue Detroit, Michigan, postmarked June 18, 1941 from Lima Peru, presumably mailed by Kenneth Van Hee while on the Richardson Pan-American Highway Expedition from Detroit to Cape Horn. The envelope is printed with a map of the expedition, which was made by Sullivan C. Richardson, Arnold Whitaker, and Kenneth Van Hee in a Plymouth. The envelope bears both a brown and emerald green 2 centavos stamp from Peru.
