Upper Rack
One mechanical drawing entitled, "Upper Rack." The pencil drawing on vellum paper shows plan and end views of a rectangular fitting that has short, round shafts at the ends. The title block in the lower right corner shows that the drawing was prepared by "Wood Hydraulic Hoist & Body Company, Detroit, Michigan," at full scale and is dated December 8, 1932. The plan number is shown as "FT-#21." It is not known if this fitting was used on one of Gar Wood's hydroplanes or if it was part of a hydraulic assembly that was manufactured by his company for commercial use.
