Defender

One drawing of a sailboat entitled, "Defender." The plan is drawn in black ink on linen at a scale of 3/4 inch = 1 foot and is undated. The drawing shows a starboard side view of the proposed sailboat with a mainsail, two jibs, a spinnaker, and associated running rigging. The drawing shows a fixed fin keel or an alternative centerboard design. A cross-section detail of the hull is also shown along with a detail of the mast and rigging. A table of principal dimensions and the sail area is shown in the lower left corner. This sailboat might have been designed by Russell J. Pouliot of Detroit.
