One booklet entitled, "Articles of A Treaty Made and Concluded at Saginaw, in the Territory of Michigan, between the United States of America, by their Commissioner, Lewis Cass, and the Chippewa Nation of Indians." The booklet has a thin tan leather cover, a sewn binding, and 14 linen paper leaves. The first 6 pages are numbered and contain the printed text of the treaty along with the printed names of the Indian chiefs who signed it. The remaining pages are blank. Known as the "Treaty of Saginaw," this treaty was signed on September 24, 1819, and was proclaimed by the President of the United States on March 25, 1820.

Based upon the age and type of paper, possibly, this booklet was printed for a 50-year celebration of the treaty in 1869.
