The Infinity Gauntlet #1

First issue of the six-issue limited comic book series The Infinity Gauntlet, co-written by Jim Starlin, and featuring the villain he co-created, Thanos. The issue was published by Marvel, and released in July of 1991. In this issue the space-traveling being Silver Surfer warns the mystical super hero Doctor Strange that Thanos has acquired immense powers through the titular artifact, while Thanos uses the gauntlet to perform a series of increasingly destructive feats intended to woo the personification of Death.
