Join us for Shiver on the River, a wintery celebration of our natural resources presented in partnership with the Friends of the Detroit River. This free, family-friendly environmental fair highlights the beauty and importance of the Detroit River ecosystem with hands-on activities, educational displays, and seasonal fun for all ages. Bundle up, explore, and discover how we can protect and enjoy our shared natural spaces all winter long.
The Shiver on the River will include a family-fun activity encouraging participants to visit each exhibitor’s table to learn more about environmental topics shared by the Detroit CHEMpreneurIST, Green Living Science, Downriver Linked Greenways, Michigan Dept. of Health and Human Services, Michigan Science Center, Wayne County Department of Public Services, Wild Ones, and more.
Events and activities are also happening at the Belle Isle Nature Center from 11am-4pm. The Belle Isle Aquarium and Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory will be open regular business hours.
