Join us for a special Lost Mariners Remembrance Brunch featuring renowned Great Lakes historian and Detroit Historical Society Curator Emeritus Joel Stone.
What was life really like aboard a Great Lakes freighter? Joel will explore how life on the Inland Seas has changed over generations, from working conditions and sleeping quarters to the meals sailors enjoyed aboard ship.
The morning also features a performance by beloved Great Lakes balladeer Lee Murdock and a unique brunch featuring recipes from the Edmund Fitzgerald chapter of George Yaworski's Ships of the Great Lakes Cookbook.
It's a special opportunity to experience Great Lakes history through stories, music, and food.
Soups: Knickerbocker bean soup and corn chowder
Salads: Macaroni salad and Greek salad with pickled beets
Entrées: Chicken paprikash and beef stew with mashed potatoes
