Beat the heat with a relaxing Member Morning at the Dossin Great Lakes Museum! This month, join us as we talk with Norma Keil Shaw and Suzanne Nash, members of the Music on Belle Isle Group (MObig). They will share the history of music on Belle Isle and MObig’s mission to renovate and preserve the Remick Bandshell. Norma and Suzanne will discuss their passion for music in Detroit, returning that summer music tradition to Belle Isle, and how the process for restoring and renovating the historic Remick Bandshell went from a vision to a reality. They’ll also talk about the MObig “RiverBlast!” summer concert series.
You and your guests are sure to enjoy this enlightening presentation. This event features Sister Pie baked goods, trivia (with fun prizes), and time to explore the museum. Member Mornings are appropriate for all ages!
