Bab L’Bluz is a Moroccan-French quartet that blends psychedelic rock with North African trance traditions to create a bold, genre-defying sound rooted in Gnawa, blues, and Chaâbi music. Formed in Marrakesh in 2018 by Yousra Mansour and Brice Bottin, the band electrifies traditional instruments like the guembri and awisha while delivering powerful lyrics in Moroccan Darija that speak to unity, resistance, and liberation. With their female-fronted lineup and high-energy performances, Bab L’Bluz is redefining the global perception of North African music—bridging ancient rhythms and modern rebellion.
