Join us for a tour of the Royal Oak Historical Society Museum, housed in the city’s beautifully preserved 1927 fire station. The tour includes exploring the museum's rotating exhibits and research library, and continues in the archival collection, where the curator will showcase unique historical materials and explain how items are acquired, preserved, and used to support local research and storytelling. During September and October, visitors will also experience the featured exhibit, Residential Geology: How to Research Your Home, which explores the history of Royal Oak’s residential development and offers tools for uncovering the story behind your own house. It’s a rare opportunity to step inside the museum’s collections and discover how personal and community history are preserved for future generations.
